Gabriels Interest in art began very young at the age of 3. The earliest piece of art created that he can still remember is a self portrait of himself in preschool drawn up as a purple person. “I was always the kid to do things differently. Sometimes it would get me into trouble.”

Gabriel grew up in Austin Texas. He continues to reside in his hometown. His earlier influences came from his family, movies, comic books, space, and cartoons. “When I was still in grade school my father would let me watch practically anything when my mother wasn’t around. I became a huge fan of horror and action films at a very young age. I remember watching old Godzilla films with my Cousins. Once the movie was over we would gather around the kitchen table and draw for hours. We would draw everything we saw on TV. We created our own monsters with rocket launchers, jet packs, saws, blades and the occasional fire breathing. We would all show each others work and tell each other what all the gadgets did then go outside and play around my grandmother’s yard pretending we were what we drew. We all had huge imaginations and I can honestly say till this day my Cousins are my biggest influences. “

Gabriels art today has many different styles and variations. He never limits himself to one medium. However his art has a unique balance of enlightenment and dark influence in his technique. The style itself always has attitude and commands attention. High detail on flowing illustrations tells the story of struggle and triumph, sometimes depicted as animals or spirits in nature. One of many signature marks to his style is eyes without pupils, adding a touch of mystery to each character. He pays much attention to color, detail and shading.

Gabriel also goes by his alias name “Safari512”. Growing up with a graffiti and fine art background through his maturity in art, he has grown passionate for sentience, peace & roots, conscious thought, and all elements of life. His art reflects his very vision through a beastly, untamed zoological perspective. Staying true to his Graffiti and fine art background, he blends the two together to form animalistic styles to create unyielding art of primitive fundamentals.

In 2007 He linked up with two talented artists from the San Antonio Texas area Stncl.07 and Dark5. The trio soon became close friends and formed an artist group by the name of Third Vision Collective. The foundation was built as a collective vision of a much brighter picture. Built on each others thoughts, love for all-things-art, respect for one another, and the talents that they bring together as one. 3VC represents the mind, the third eye sensory structure. The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring in part to the ajna (brow) chakra in certain Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. It is also spoken of as the gate that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. In new age spirituality, the third eye may alternately symbolize a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply-personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with visions, clairvoyance, precognition, and out-of-body experiences, and people who have allegedly developed the capacity to use their third eyes are sometimes known as seers. Third Vision Collective was brought together and Formed on August 19th 2007 during a gallery showing at the Vinyl Rejects showcased at the House Gallery in San Antonio Texas.

Today Gabriel continues to develop and further evolve his skills to reach larger audiences. He soon hopes to complete and Publish his first Independent Comic series in the near future.
